DFHC 4/4/2011

item 1 >>>  Now Playing and LQQK @ †h∆†! will be returning soon…

item 2 >>>  Looks Like I’m Not the Only One…in my family who saves old newspaper clippings…here are some goodies from my sister’s late 60s Beatles file. First, a ticket, or what’s left of it, she won to see the Boston premiere of the movie Let it Be…May 18, 1970…Rated G, so they didn’t cuss, even tho they were on the verge of breaking up…

item 3 >>>  ALSO…it looks like I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t resist writing on the back of the 1st series Beatles cards, rushed into production by Topps with a bare minimum format. Color cards with fancier backs would soon follow…

item 4 >>>  Remember when $10 bought you 3 LPS?…$3.33 each, less if on sale…

item 5 >>>  Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow…The Beatles broke up, and starting going nuts…were they about due?…

iem 6 >>>  Forever More… were a “progressive” group from Scotland, who got their picture in the Boston papers at least once…and it didn’t get past my sister…

item 7 >>> You Had To Save the Article…and if it wasn’t your magazine to clip? And no xerox machine handy? Well…I did this too, or even in long-hand…
