Now Playing   99 Year Blues   I can never remember the name of this one, from Hot Tuna, their 3rd LP Burgers, 1972.

 LQQK @ †h∆†!…   Whoa!   James Brown’s “Please Please” routine would eventually be speeded up and stylized, but here’s the original shtick, interlaced with some later capes…actually, he was pleading for them to please not use the cape! But this is why they called him the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, In or Out of Prison…you’re tuckered out just watching.

Decades before Itchy and Scratchy, the National Lampoon Magazine had the same idea with Kit ‘n’ Kaboodle…except since it wasn’t on network TV, they took it ever further, if you catch my drift and I suspect you do. And if it occurs to you that Tom and Jerry were never that bad, here’s more or less what they’re poking fun at, from 1954…
