5 They More Won’t Play on the Radio

Forbidden favorites continute today…

(1)  Hey Bulldog/Beatles

Sheepdog!

Amazing to think that this great tune was a Beatles leftover…no place for it on any regular album, they “used it up” in the Yellow Submarine movie. Classic Lennon riff-rock, stuff they could knock off seemingly at will…

(2)  Nature’s Way/Spirit

Way Nature

Little known early 70s concept album, 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus…virtually every track a winner…

(3)  Rosalie/Bob Seger

Seger Rocks

Some of his best rock and roll was before he was mega-famous…this early 70s cut is about a real-life Detroit radio lady…

(4)  I Gotta Dream On/Herman’s Hermits

Hoiman’s Hoimits

Beyond the hits, there were some catchy LP cuts by some guys who know how to put together pop records.

(5)  Early Morning Rain/Peter, Paul & Mary

Early AM Rain

Written by I forget who…somebody famous tho…

shameless plugs, going out to Trinity and Probity, the Gasachstahagen Twins…
