4 Weeks in June…week three

June 18, 1965…some refused to buy it anymore, ever since the cover price rose from a quarter to 35¢….still, if you did, you could be reminded how sexy a naked arm could be…

…even if you were wearing red pants, for gosh sakes. Filter tips had been the norm for a decade, but the Sixties encouraged you to try to market anything, especially if it bucked a trend…

But York was a nonstarter, as was (no pun intended) the Fiat. Ok, so today they’re baaaaaaaaaaaack….but in 1965, who wanted a little toy car with styling that smacked of 1954? Not many. BTW, the girl on the roof is only, um, a serving suggestion…

Just can’t help it…more tonic from above…

Gotta love it…a drink craze marketed as if it were a dance craze…and an ugly old wop to sell it…still, I loved Killer Joe Piro…like Batman’s foxy Grandpa or something…

Another dumb idea that went nowhere…heck, who played horse polo, let alone — 0h, never mind…

you meet the nicest people digging shameless plugs…
