Glas was a farm equipment company founded in Germany in 1895 by mechanic Andreas “Hans” Glas. After WWII, they began producing motor scooters, the Goggo…then very small cars in the late 1950s, the Goggomobil…until being absorbed by BMW in 1966. But those 2-wheelers became iconic symbols of the Baby Boomer Generation in Germany, and today have a rabid cult following. Here are some über-groovy old ads…
